Red Ribbon Week Fact of the day:  A recent student found that people who began smoking marijuana heavily in their teens lost an average of how many points in IQ between age 13 and age 38?  (8 points…Most importantly, the lost abilities were not fully restored in those who quit smoking marijuana as adults. Change Wars: Continues all week to help raise money for the Parent Support group.  Bring in all of your spare change!  Clean those pockets out and check under the sofa cushions! Bring that change because the SSR class that brings in the most will receive an ice cream party! A second party goes to the class that has the highest amount of change per student ratio.

Monday: Crazy hair day/80's/Fluorescent - "I'm too bright for drugs."
Tuesday: Wear your favorite hat - "Put a cap on drugs."
Wednesday: Red Hawk Spirit Day! Wear as much red as you can! - "I'm REaDy for Red Ribbon Week."
Thursday: Wear jerseys - "Team up against drugs."
Friday: Dress up for Halloween - "Say BOO to drugs."

Change Wars: Continues all week to help raise money for the Parent Support group.  Bring in all of your spare change!  Clean those pockets out and check under the sofa cushions! Bring that change because the SSR class that brings in the most will receive an ice cream party! A second party goes to the class that has the highest amount of change per student ratio.

Get Ready for Halloween!  Candy Grams are 25 cents each or 5 for $1. This week we are selling Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday. Next week we are selling Tuesday and Wednesday.

Noon Sports: Capture the Flag is the next lunchtime sports activity. Games will be played on a smaller section of the grass field during lunch. Teams will have six players each and play against teams of the same grade level.

To join the fun, talk to your friends, make a team, and sign up with Mr. Sabraw in room 20.
