Rainy day nutrition and lunch procedure: Students, please stay out of the rain. You are not allowed to play in the rain. You can eat in the following areas:
-MPR (not on the stands)
-main hallway (do not block doorways)
-Science hallway
-lunch table area.
You will be allowed inside the new gym and the library also (after you finish eating). Please use the available trash cans.

6th grade math club will begin on Monday, Jan 23 during lunch.  If you like math, like a challenge, like working on math challenges with friends and would like to be on the Math Super Bowl team... then come to Mrs. Castagna's room Monday.  Grab your lunch and bring it to room 14.  Club will meet every Monday during lunch. See you there!

Talent Show: Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Mar. 8th at 6:30 pm for our talent show "Viva la CMS" ! 
Tryouts for the show will be next week Monday through Friday at lunch or arrange a time with Mrs. Tito if lunch doesn't work. Participation forms will be available in the library, from Mrs. Tito or in the office. Don't forget to arrange a tryout!

Carpinteria Arts Center is offering an "Afternoon Art Class" for middle school students at the Arts Center, 855 Linden Ave.
Session 1 - February 1st for 8 weeks (register by Jan. 23)
Session 2 - April 5th for 8 weeks (register by March 26)
Cost is $120 per student member or $132 for nonmembers. Tuition assistance is available - call 684-2164

Library Talk:  Time to check the stars! The amazing readers stars that is! The boards have been updated. We are just about halfway to our goal of 25,000 points. Once again the 7th graders have earned the most points during the semester.
