The National Education Association launched Read Across America in 1998 as a year-round program to celebrate reading. Given Dr. Seuss’ impact on the reading world, his birthday (March 2) was declared Read Across America Day. The class that has the most students dressed up will receive a special story and visit. If there is a tie then there will be 2 special visits. Drop by the library and pick up a Wacky Word search that has many of fun words Dr. Seuss created for his stories. Just for fun!
